Start on 12th Ave NW from either Gilman or Newport Way and head straight up. 12th runs into Mt Olympus Drive and turns left and then right as it continues to climb up Squak Mtn. Mt Olympus Dr goes from NW to SW and after a flat runs into Mountainside Dr. Continue up Mountside Dr. to the final short loop at the end of the road on Squak Mtn. Great views to the noth of Mt. Baker! This is the easier fo the two climbs up to Squak Mtn Loop. Going up from the fish Hatchery to Mtn Park Blvd is slightly shorter but steeper overall with little terrain to recover on.
